L2 Métiers de la Chimie Internship
Second-Year Chemistry Internship (L2 Métiers de la Chimie)
April 7 – August 1, 2025
Sales, Research & Development
REDA Chemicals & OPTIChem, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
REDA Chemicals is an international group specializing in the distribution of chemical raw materials across the food, cosmetics, industrial, and pharmaceutical sectors. Optichem, a subsidiary of the group, focuses on innovation, formulation, and the development of tailored technical solutions. Together, these entities combine scientific expertise, commercial insight, and technical support, serving as a bridge between global suppliers and local markets.
My project at REDA Chemicals & Optichem
During my internship, I took part in several projects combining research and development with
a business and industrial approach.
One of my main projects focused on the development of a colorless cobalt-based resin system
intended for button manufacturing. The objective was to achieve a gel time of around 5 minutes
while maintaining a stable, high-performance, and non-colored resin. This work involved
formulation trials, catalyst adjustments, and evaluation of the final material properties.
At the same time, I worked on a separate project aimed at reducing the viscosity of zirconium-
based formulations to improve their processability and compatibility with industrial applications.
This project allowed me to further develop my skills in formulation, physicochemical
characterization, and optimization of technical parameters.
Beyond R&D, I also contributed to business development activities, including analyzing client needs, understanding the industrial applications of products, and promoting the solutions developed.

At the end of this internship, I was awarded a certificate in recognition of my commitment, the quality of my work, and the skills I developed during this professional experience.
